Methodology (v1.1): The Doom Barometer combines several live data streams into a single stress score (0 = calm, 100 = crisis). Each signal is normalized to 0–100 and combined with a weighted sum. Global signals (5): market stress (equity indices, 25%), seismic energy (magnitude-weighted from USGS M≥5, 20%), commodity stress (oil/gold, 20%), internet fragility (BGP, 15%), energy stress (DE CO₂ intensity as proxy, 20%). Regional (3 signals per region): market stress (regional indices, 40%), currency / rate stress (regional FX vs. USD; for NA, US Treasury futures, 30%), seismic energy (magnitude-weighted, 30%).
